This is a short section to help support the work the Field Studies Council does in Singapore.

We have been invited by the Singapore Chinese Girls School to run INSET for environmental education since 1999. Initially this has been for secondary schools but in 2005 we commenced our first INSET for primary. The courses in March 2006 were a mix of primary and secondary and consisted of the following modules:
In addition, all teachers new to the INSET programme were asked to attend a common core half day "Introduction to the Enquiry Approach to fieldwork".

We believe that children should experience the environment by doing rather than just looking. To that end we have some support material to assist you after the course. Click on the module link above (either Coastal or Freshwater).
